Lake Havasu City Travel Guide
Welcome to Lake Havasu City!
Lake Havasu City is located on the Arizona-California border on the eastern shore of Lake Havasu, which is fed by the Colorado River. Every year thousands of tourists visit the city to see the London Bridge, which was disassembled in England and relocated to Arizona over a period of three years, where it was rebuilt in 1971. Beneath the bridge is a Tudor-style retail center know as the English Village, which boasts a variety of boutiques and specialty shops, as well as traditional British-style pubs. The annual London Bridge Days commemorates the bridge's Arizona dedication with a parade, concerts and a Renaissance festival. With sunshine more than 300 days a year, the city supports a multitude of activities, beaches and recreational facilities for watersports of all kinds, including jet boating, water skiing and kayaking. Birdwatchers are well accommodated at Havasu National Wildlife Refuge, while history buffs can visit the Lake Havasu Museum of History.
